Which is the safest aircraft for the flight of passengers?

In March 2019, aviation regulators and airlines around the world laid the foundations of all Boeing 737 MAX passenger aircraft, after two MAX 8 aircraft crashed, killing the 346 people on board.

So many ask themselves which is the safest plane to fly over the clouds. But, whether you’re a fan of traveling by plane or on the contrary, have some fear of flying by plane, you can try a trip with one of these planes.

In general, you should choose the flight by plane from one of the safest airlines. AirlineRatings places Qantas in first place for 2019. Other top airlines that make a top 20 include United Airlines, American Airlines, Singapore Airlines, British Airways and Hawaiian Airlines.

Of course, meeting this criterion, choosing the safest companies according to statistics, is not always the right criterion. Some travelers make the choice based on the comfort of the seat. Others make the choice of plane simply for their peace of mind, because they feel more secure in a certain model.

Most airlines operate long-haul Airbus or Boeing aircraft. Bombardier CRJ and Embraer are the most popular manufacturers of small aircraft. In general, new generations of aircraft are more viable than the old ones.

Types of aircraft without fatal errors – some models from Airbus, Boeing or Embraer have never had a fatal accident in commercial services. This statistic may be due to the fact that they are new models and do not yet work on a very large scale.

Currently, models that have not yet had a fatal incident are:

Airbus: A220, A319neo, A320neo, A321neo, A340, A350 and A380
Boeing: 717, 747-8 and 787
Embraer: 135, 140 and 145

So, you can ask the airline you are going to travel with if you use a model from these types of aircraft, if you have preferences from this point of view to feel safe while traveling.

Finally, this selection criterion may not be exactly relevant, as staff experience and many other factors also matter. But it is reassuring, however, to know that most airlines use commercial aircraft that are, at the same time, the safest in aviation history.
