Images of the Future Exclusive Lounge from Glasgow Airport

Glasgow Airport has unveiled the first images in terms of aesthetic design, its new exclusive future lounge. Named the Lomond Lounge, it will be located in the departure area, scheduled for opening this autumn.

The cost invested for this Lounge is estimated at £ 1.6 million, creating 25 new jobs. The daily schedule will be between 05:00 and 21:00.

The new salon will be the fourth facility of Glasgow Airport, and the number of passengers passing through this airport is on the rise.

We’re very excited about the introduction of the Lomond Lounge later this summer and the superior customer experience it will deliver for our passengers”, says Mark Johnston, Managing Director, Glasgow Airport. “While the UpperDeck continues to be extremely popular with our business and leisure passengers, demand for lounge access continues to rise as more and more people look to start their travels in style. The potential for the site of the new Lomond Lounge was huge given its prime location in the airport’s departures area and the fantastic views it offers of both the airfield and the stunning backdrop of the Campsie Fells. The Lomond Lounge will set the benchmark in providing a premium level of service and comfort when it opens its doors and I’m sure our customers will be very impressed with everything this luxurious new facility will offer.” he completed.

The new Lounge will have 4500 square meters, and the look and design was inspired by Loch Lomond neighbor and Trossachs National Park. It will provide you with a mix of services to serve your meal, as well as more comfortable relaxation areas, where passengers can relax and enjoy a snack or a drink before the flight.

Style and colors are contemporary, they are balanced between the original architecture of Basil Spence from the Glasgow airfield and the salon that hosts its famous and vaulted ceilings.

Last but not least, the Lounge will have a business area that will include loading points, high-speed Wi-Fi, flight information displays, national newspapers and other magazines.
